Ambassador Wole Oni

An Accomplished Record producer,

Jazz Artist, programmer, multi-instrumentalist, Songwriter, Arranger, Sound engineer, multi- award winning music producer, interior Decorator, Farmer, and counselor.

He is the CEO of Instinct Productions and Wole Oni Music Productions (WOMP). He has worked in a number of countries including Rwanda, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States of America, writing and producing music for artists’ album projects, as well as scoring various radios, television and film projects.
With over 30 years industry experience, Wole Oni came into limelight after producing the hit gospel song, Kosobabire, by Folake Umosen.

Wole Oni was born in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. He started playing percussion instruments at the age of 7 in the early 80’s in his father’s church and later joined the music team in his elementary school. He later trained as a classical pianist by Engineer Jeje and replaced his father as the church organist at St. Andrew Anglican Church, Akure where he further honed his music skills. Wole Oni studied Computer Science at the University of Lagos.

Wole Oni is currently the CEO of Wole Oni Music Productions (WOMP) and Instinct Productions.

He has produced over 1500 artistes produced and over 9000 songs including hit songs like ‘Kosobabire’ by Folake Umosen, ‘Igwe’ by the Midnight Crew, ‘Ijoba Orun’, ‘Kolebaje’, and ‘Halleluyah’ by Lara George, ‘Olo Mi’ by Tosin Martins and a host of others. He masterminded a good number of on air commercials, such as Milo, GTB, Access Bank, Stanbic IBTC Mtn, Glo, Etisalat, and Promasidor etc. A prominent member of the band, Spectrum 4 managed by An American lady Rachel Stevens. He has performed at many jazz and Rock concerts in the United States of America, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa and so on.

He performed at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit with Queen Elizabeth in attendance and has performed for several heads of states.

His resume boasts of local and international names on projects with the likes of R. Kelly, P-Diddy, Kim Burrell, Debbie Dickson, Yvonne Chakachaka, Onyeka Onwenu, Omawunmi, Majek Fashek, Lagbaja, Tosin Martins, Timi Dakolo, Praize, DBanj, Adewale Ayuba, Freke Umoh,  Cohbams Asuquo, Samsung, Jodie, Sammie Okposo and many greats . He was one of the juries for 2008 G-MUSIC, 2013, 2014 Destiny Child, 2014, 2015, 2016 GCGT.
To his credit, he has won several awards both locally and internationally such as AGMA UK Award for the best producer in Africa 2013, 2014, 2015, Kora award 2004, Crystal Awards, Hip-Hop Award, National Gospel Awards, The Beatz Award, PGMA Uk as the best international producer just to mention a few.
